One time i was just looking on youtube and i found this doctor saying that humans are biologically herbivores, and not carnivores. Harboring all the biological aspects of a herbivore. The video is pretty long, but each second is extremely essential as he explains a vast multitude of "evidences" that leads to the conclusion that humans are herbivores, and not carnivores.
After looking at this video and the various claims he makes, i guess he is speaking the truth, but as i don't know anything in the field i'd like some "expert clarification" if he is not cherry picking the facts to reach a veganish conclusion (thing i highly and totally doubt) or if he is actually speaking the truth, which means... humans are naturally and biologically herbivores, and therefore, not meant to eat meat or other animal products (maybe?) since it might causes negative consequences to their health.
To complement my thesis, i've also heard about some scientifical studies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PebqMM93_74 that claims the more meat and animal products we eat, the higher is the mortality and cardiovascular disease. Could this be related to the "possible fact" that we are not carnivores or omnivores but we are essentially herbivores and, as herbivores, we are meant to eat mostly plant based diets instead of animal products, since it might causes negative consequences as the serious ones i've just found on these studies?
Thanks.

Length of gut indicates a history of omnivory.. mixed diet. herbivores have much longer and more complex digestive tracts than humans so meat has historically been part of our diet. That said, it's also clear from modern evidence that a diet high in red meat and especiually preserved, smoked or blackened meat, increases risk of cancer.
